From The Saying of The Messenger (pbuh ) (9)

قال رسول الله (صلي الله عليه وسلم ) :"إن الله ، إذا أحب عبدا ، دعا جبريل فقال : إني أحب فلانا فأحبه . قال فيحبه جبريل . ثم ينادي في السماء فيقول : إن الله يحب فلانا فأحبوه . فيحبه أهل السماء . قال ثم يوضع له القبول في الأرض . وإذا أبغض عبدا دعا جبريل فيقول : إني أبغض فلانا فأبغضه . قال فيبغضه جبريل . ثم ينادي في أهل السماء : إن الله يبغض فلانا فأبغضوه . قال فيبغضونه . ثم توضع له البغضاء في الأرض" الراوي: أبو هريرة المحدث: مسلم - المصدر: صحيح مسلم - الصفحة أو الرقم: 2637 خلاصة حكم المحدث: صحيح
Messenger of Allah, (PBUH) said: "When Allah loves a slave, He calls Jibril (Gabriel) and says: `I love so-and-so;(Allah metions the name of the slave) so love him.' And then Jibril loves him. Then he (Jibril) announces in the heavens saying: Allah loves so-and-so; so love him; then the inhabitants of the heavens (the angels) also love him; and then people on earth love him. And when Allah hates a slave, He calls Jibril and says: `I hate so-and-so, so hate him.' Then Jibril also hates him. He (Jibril) then announces amongst the inhabitants of heavens: `Verily, Allah hates so-and-so, so you also hate him.' Thus they also start to hate him. Then he becomes the object of hatred on the earth also." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Commentary :
1) What is the reward of loving for the sake of Allah and hating for the sake of Allah.What is the reward of loving Allah (pbth) and loving his messenger Muhammad (pbth) . let me first explain what do we mean by "loving Allah and his messenger and how can a person love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah " If a person loves Allah and if he is truthful in his love then he believes from his deep heart that there is no God but Allah .He is the only true God and his slaves can not live without the support of their master Allah.The slave always looks forward to satisfying his master.He does with all love what his master ordered him to do.He escapes from what his master ordered him not to do .He always loves those who love his master and obey him and hates those who hate his master and disobey him and commit sins.The slave also loves the messenger of Allah who Allah chose to be his messenger and Allah made his love the cause of the love of Allah.Allah said in the Quran :
"قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗوَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ " 3/31))
"Say (O Muhammad (PBUH) to mankind): `If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e., accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.''' (3:31)
2) What is the reward of this love ?.It is the the biggest reward man can gain.Can any human being imagine that Allah himself (pbth ) with His Divinity with his Holiness and Majesty call Gabriel from over seven heavens saying " I love ….the son or the daughter of … so love him or her " what kind of honour that.Not only that but also all the inhabitants of heavens and the inhabitants of the earth love him . On the other hand, those who are hated by Allah are also hated by the inhabitants of the earth and the heavens.Dear brothers and sisters ask yourselves which group would you like to be with .The difference is too far between the two groups .I ask Allah for us all to be with the first group (God willing) .

Dear brother in Allah,
Thank you and may Allah help you in all your life. In fact the wonder, all the wonder is in these dazzling and compassionate words of our beloved Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) . He (pbuh) does his best to plant and endear faith to us and adorn it in our hearts . In fact we must be proud that we are the slaves of Allah the Beneficent and Merciful . We must be proud that we are the followers of that wonderful Messenger . We must be proud that The Holy Quran is our book and our Constitution . Thank you again and I hope that this Series of Ahadith pleased your heart.
