    Wow, awesome sexy video. I wonder why Muslims such as Deedat and many others use the Song of Solomon to confirm the Hebrew word "muhammadim" in the Song of Solomon refers to Islam's only prophet. Can someone explain why Muslims do that if they feel it is a book of corruption and pornography?

    I am am unable to see videos on the device (iPad) I use.. for some reason the links do not show up in the post. So thank you Burninglight for mentioning the content. "Song of Songs" or "Song of Solomon"..

    To the Op do you not think it rather strange that some muslims.. as Burninglight mentions.. Often use this very book to show as evidence of Prophet Mohammed's being mentioned in the previous scriptures. Why would you expect to find the name of Prophet Mohammed mentioned in a work of early Jewish erotic poetry...?

    Honestly, all this negativity towards love both spiritual and physical leads be to believe that there is little room for love in Islam. That to me is a cause for sadness.

    some do.. Including Mr Deedat who was held in high regard as a Muslim apologist.. It's good to see not all share this desperation to see Prophets Mohammed's name mentioned at whatever cost.

    As God is not directly mentioned in Song of Songs... Then we can say these are not the words of God. However, that does not mean we can't see Divine inspiration. Behind the couple who rejoice in each other's love lies the God who, from the beginning, intended for a man to leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, so that man and woman "become one flesh".

    God is the creator of beauty. God wants us to enjoy his creation, to appreciate beauty, to delight in his gifts for us. And one of God’s most beautiful gifts is that of sexual love in marriage. It's sad that you don't celebrate human love as a reflection of the love God showed us... His creation.

    Peace also with you.

    Well, you have proved one thing to me. Muslims are not as united as people think. Your greatest apologist say Songs of Solomon confirm Muhammad is a prophet in our Bible, but when Muslim use the Song of Solomon which expresses sexual erotic love to show the lust men and women have for each other they deny it refers to Muhammad or prophecy regarding him. So you are one of the few Muslims that deny that Muhammad was prophesied in the Bible. If it is any consolation to you, I agree. He is not mentioned at all in the Bible, but you should look at Deedat's debates to see how Muslim beg to differ from you. Unless you are just saying it is not referring to Muhammad, because you posted this thread which is now an embarrassment to you? faceplam.

    Peace to you, and you are still loved

    I talked about Song of Songs as one of the Bible's books .

    Notice:

    The arabic Bible's translation OT is divided into many books called ( sefer سـِـفـْـرْ )
    ex : the book of Genesis/ the book of Exodus ....
    I think it's clear now and the confusion is over.

    You are one of the few christian who deny the divinity of this book (Song of Songs )..
    Do you know who is exclaiming in admiration ??
    and who is the lover mentioned in the book of Song of Songs ???

    I advise you to read this :

    You are not looking at these verses in context the chapter before states that that Israel is God's servant: Is. 41 But you, Israel, my servant,
    Jacob, whom I have chosen,
    the offspring of Abraham, my friend;

    9
    you whom I took from the ends of the earth,
    and called from its farthest corners,
    saying to you, “You are my servant,
    I have chosen you and not cast you off”;

    10
    fear not, for I am with you;
    be not dismayed, for I am your God;
    I will strengthen you, I will help you,
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
    Look at Isaiah 52 Behold, my servant shall act wisely;[b]
    he shall be high and lifted up,
    and shall be exalted.

    14
    As many were astonished at you—
    his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance,
    and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—

    15
    so shall he sprinkle[c] many nations;
    kings shall shut their mouths because of him;
    for that which has not been told them they see,
    and that which they have not heard they understand
    Look at Isaiah 53 It shows the servant to be Jesus who is the culmination of all Israel. It fits Him like a glove. Muhammad is not in this picture sorry. You are one of the few Muslims who say Song of Solomon wasn't referring to Muhammad.

    yes I understood you.. Song of Songs is indeed one of the Bible books. I don't understand your issue with it. Unless you are applying the same standards to measure the Bible as you do for the Quran.. In which case it is you who do not understand. Unlike the Quran we do not claim the Bible is the word of God verbatim.. But the inspired word of God. As such, we find books.. That offer an historical account of an event or poetry.. Such as this. God did not dictate the words but the inspiration behind them is Gods. It also includes direct declarations from God through His prophets. I hope this has gone some way to clearing up your confusion on this matter.

    I love the way muslims use words out of the context of which they are used so by giving them a completely different emphasis.. :) you do it with scriptures and you do it with our words.. Verily you have this down to a fine art form. It's impressive. Do you receive special training? ;)

    I interpret the scriptures according to the guidance of the spirit. I am not overly concerned with the views of "scholars" they are just people.. Not perfect.. And people see things differently. I can't comment on catholic traditions because I don't know enough about them. You seem to be implying that the Holy Spirit (which Christians believe to be as God) admired and was lover to Mary..! *may God forgive me repeating this blasphemy.. He knows the truth of my heart** I have to take the Bible as my source on this and the Bible in no way implies that Mary is the subject... Or is in any way connected with the person who is the object of desire in the "Song of Solomon" I advice you to read the whole book, understand the context it was written in and you will see you and the person behind the article you posted are both in serious error. Besides being written centuries before Mary came into being.. I'm surprised at you... This is scraping the bottom of the barrel with this analogy.

    Same for Christians.. We are united in the belief that Our way to salvation lies with Jesus. If one does not believe what Christ Jesus said about Himself or deny His teaching then we cease to be a Christian..

    Mr Deedat was maybe great in the eyes of muslims.. Who have little or no knowledge of the Bible. To anyone with a modicum of Biblical knowledge could see his claims for what they were. He handled the scriptures of others dishonestly.. Weather this was intentional or born out of genuine zeal for what he believed was true we cannot determine. No doubt he has been judged on his works and we can never know. IMHO... There are better people you could emulate.

    No he isn't. For every Bible verse you claim does ..can be and has been refuted. You cannot take a verse and use out of context to make it mean something else. That is what you do.. You see a word or phrase and bend and twist it to mean what you wish it to. It doesn't work like that.. The message of God cannot be changed.

    Peace.
