Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should not oppress him nor should he hand him over to (his Satan or to his self which is inclined to evil). Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever removes the troubles of his brother, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and whoever covers up the fault of a Muslim, Allah will cover up his fault on the Day of Resurrection" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Commentary:
In this Hadith the messenger of Allah advises all Muslims to live as a big family because Muslims are all brothers .Every member should not oppress his brother or offers him to the enemy of believers the satan but he should be with his brother against satan. He should cooperate with his brother in the time of need and if his brother was in trouble he should help him find a solution to this problem. If he does that he will find the reward from Allah in the day of Resurrection .Allah will help him find solutions for his problems there. If he covers up his brother's faults, Allah will cover his faults there.

The messenger of Allah (pbuh ) said :
"Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed". A man enquired: "O Messenger of Allah! I help him when he is oppressed, but how can I help him when he is an oppressor?'' He (PBUH) said, "You can keep him from committing oppression. That will be your help to him" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Commentary :
1) This is a wonderful Hadith. It tells us how intelligent was the messenger of Allah (pbuh ). How he was a model teacher in teaching his followers. He (pbth) sometimes uses the suspense way in attracting their attention when He (pbuh) said : "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed" They were surprised and one of them said : How can I help him when he is an oppressor? " then the messenger of Allah said : "You can keep him from committing oppression. That will be your help to him" . I think that the messenger of Allah meant to make this dialogue between Him and his companions and this was one of the ways that the messenger of Allah in teaching his companions and this is nowadays a very modern way in teaching .
2) Islam doesn't support oppression but it supports the justice even it was against ourselves.Allah said in the Quran :
"O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts) lest ye swerve and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do" (4/135)
3) I hope that Allah (pbth) collect us in the companionship of Muhammad (pbuh ) and his companions in the supreme paradise .Ameen.
