45- the messenger that we follow is dead

Do not object that our prophet is dead because according to your bible the god that you worship has died for three days and all the prophets in the bible died also

    Deuteronomy 34

7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died,

    John 8
52At this the Jews exclaimed, "Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that if anyone keeps your word, he will never taste death

    Even your God has died

    1 Corinthians 15)New International Version)

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...15&version=NIV

3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures

1 Corinthians 8 )New International Version)

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...+8&version=NIV

11So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge

    John 19 )New International Version)

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...19&version=NIV

33But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead

    So do not object

46- There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of God

Do not object that muslims should always say There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of God and say that this is polytheism for two reasons
    :

The first reason is because we don’t say that the messenger is God but we say that he is the Messenger of God Almighty

The second reason is because that you also will not have a full faith unless you witness to the prophets of the bible and that’s what your bible say

    Chronicles2 : 20 )New International Version)

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...20&version=NIV

20 Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."

You are again harking back to the Old Testament for your examples. This is because it is clear in the New Testament, which is Gods new covenant with mankind that polygamy is against what God ordained. Polygamy in the Bible was never allowed by Gods law but rather an action of men going against Gods law...for their own purposes. It is shown in the Bible as a lesson how not to behave as such as Lamech, David, Solomon and others who were polygamous their lives did not turn out well, it is said that Solomons heart was hardened against God by his polygamous actions.

The clearest verse comes from Jesus in His teaching regarding plural marriage must be Matthew 19 8-9 which is on divorce

Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." (Matt 19.8-9)

The key thing to note here is that this argument fails if polygamy is acceptable. Jesus' point is that improper divorce does not nullify a marriage, and if the first marriage still stands, then a "second" marriage is adultery--and NOT simply 'polygamy'! This is very clear.

So you should not seek to justify polygamy in the Quran by passages from the Bible. The Old Testament practices you use in your justifications were already superseded by the teachings of Christ. Polygamy is not a decree from God..or ever has been. But a practice of men born from circumstances, traditions, tribal allegiances and mans lusts.

The Old Testament is what it is, a record of mankind's growth and enlightenment towards God and his plan for us. Gods plan for the salvation of mankind did not happen overnight it was a gradual process. It is also an historical record of the times. It contains the foundation of the Christian faith and we are to learn from the lessons of examples given of the Biblical Patriarchs of that time. You may see your Quran as an instruction manual to be followed verbatim, but then it was formed in a very short period of time 22 years as opposed to a period of 1500 years it took to formulate the Bible. The two are not really comparable in many ways.

The New Testament was the culmination of Gods work. :)

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
